Everyone was surprised when I first announced my „Liddle Lads“ since most of my art has a dark vibe to it. So why the change of style and mood suddenly? When Covid first hit I was struggling a lot, my anxiety was at an all time high. I still liked my „ERROR“ series but I craved to express myself in a more lighthearted sense. Inspired by modern pop art I eventually created my „Liddle Lads“, a collection of minimalistic and colorful creatures with a collage-like feeling. This project is not bound to any medium, there are resin poured Lads, clay sculpted Lads, acryl painted Lads, the possibilities are endless! So why not join me on my trip and see where this is going?
The versatile nature of this project makes it possible to create lads of every desired size. Huge eyecatcher pieces fill the room with their bold and striking presence. These Liddle Lads might be not that little anymore, but they are still weird and adorable in their own way!
While bigger artworks might have it easier to catch your attention, these truly „Liddle“ Lads are not any less charming. Not every person has a whole wall to spare and that is ok, Lads come in all shapes and sizes! These tiny ones are just way too cute and are awesome to combine with each other.
